The16th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference was held in Kuching,Sarawak,Malaysia  from 23-26 April 2025. Asia Pacific Hospice and Network (APHN) is a regional  non profit organization that is dedicated to promoting hospice and Palliative Care in Asia and the Pacific.The purpose of the organization to empower and support organizations and individuals committed to alleviating suffering from life-threatening illness.

The  theme of the conference, ‘Embracing Diversity, Empowering Communities’, is call to action to acknowledge the diverse needs of patients, families and communities facing serious illness.

 It’s a pleasure to share that Dr.Sayeda Sharmin Quadir,medical offier of Palliative Medicine Department received Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship and Moss.Fatema Akter ,Assistant Nursing Superintendent received Lien Collaborative bursary to attend the conference from APHN.

Among 166 posters the only poster presentation from Bangladesh by Palliative Medicine Department,Bangladesh Medical Univervisty.The authors are Dr.Nisha Moruza Aktar,Dr.Sayeda Sharmin Quadir,Prof AKM Motiur Rahman Bhuiyan,Associate Prof Dr.Afroja Alam and Dr.Rifat Jahan. Collected.
